I do that, it comes up "although you are exciting the programs you have will still continue until you log back in" but 3 minutes later the bot drops

do not log out. A vps works like a normal computer. If you logoff the user, all the apps running on that users account will close. If you want to exit the VPS, simply close the remote desktop without logging off your user.

Anyone smart with VPS servers? I've gotten one but once I log out of it with remote desktop the bot I had on it disconnects, know why?

just a friendly warning, submitted links and newposts wont be displayed unless they are approved by an admin. It only takes a few seconds to delete the many spam newposts and links, so dont even waste your time
